I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College, with an additional certificate in Family and Relationship Counseling. I also earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida and hold certifications in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Levels 1 and 2.
My background includes experience working as a college counselor, where I gained a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by young and emerging adults. I also work with adults of all ages, providing support to those navigating life transitions, academic or career-related stress, relationship concerns, anxiety, or depression. One of my primary areas of focus is helping individuals manage symptoms of anxiety and depression, developing skills to restore balance and regain control of their lives.
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ community, both through therapeutic practice and community-based advocacy. I strive to provide a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space where clients can freely express themselves without fear of criticism.
Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. Grounded in a systemic approach, I consider the influence of relationships, identity, and family of origin in shaping life experiences. By exploring these dynamics together, we can uncover patterns that may be impacting your present struggles. While I recognize that therapy can be challenging, I also believe in creating space for humor, joy, and moments of lightness, blending practical tools with a compassionate and balanced approach to well-being.
I am a first-generation Middle Eastern American, born and raised in Long Island, New York. My cultural heritage has shaped my perspective and deepened my commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and acceptance in every aspect of my life. I value creating spaces where all voices and experiences are honored.
Now living in Orlando, I enjoy immersing myself in the city’s vibrant offerings, from its theme parks to its diverse food scene. Exploring new coffee shops and cuisines has become a favorite pastime, reminding me of how food and culture create meaningful connections.
Most importantly, I treasure spending time with my loved ones. I find fulfillment in embracing the many roles that make up who I am—partner, daughter, sister, friend, and therapist—all of which deepen my ability to connect authentically with others. I remain grateful for the opportunities, challenges, and experiences that have shaped me, and I am committed to continuing this journey of growth, both personally and professionally.
